Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms
あらすじ
人里離れた土地で暮らすイオルフの一族。彼らは10代半ばで外見の成長が止まり、若い姿のまま数百年を生きる不老長寿の民である。ある日、その長寿の血を狙う異種族に彼らの平穏は壊されてしまう。混乱の中を逃げ延びたイオルフの少女マキアは、森で人間の赤子を発見し、その子を育てる決意をする。
The lolph people, living in a remote land, stop aging in their mid-teens and can live remaining youthful for hundreds of years. One day, their peaceful existence is disrupted by a different species seeking their long-lasting blood. Amidst the chaos, a young lolph girl named Maquia, manages to escape and, in the forest, discovers a human infant, deciding to raise the child.
感想（ネタバレなし）
映像、音楽、世界観、不老長寿という設定は好きだった。声優さんの演技もよかった。ストーリーは、正直な感想、つまらなかった。その理由は、それぞれのキャラクターを掘り下げる場面が少ないので、途中から彼らの行動が理解不能になった。前半は面白かったのに残念。
The image quality, music, view of the world, and the setting of perpetual youth and longevity were interesting. The voice acting was also good. However, the story, in my honest opinion, was boring. There are sudden changes in characters' behaviors and motivation, and that makes it hard to understand why they act the way they do. The reason for this is that characters development is off-screen. Too bad, because the first half was interesting.

終始娘に会いたいと泣いていたレイリアが、ついに娘に会えた時、ほとんど娘と話すことなく建物から飛び降り、ドラゴンに乗って飛び去るんだけど、なんやねん。
Leiria, who spent the whole crying about wanting to see her daughter, finally meet her daughter and she then decides to jump off the building without talking to the child much and then fly away on a dragon. I have no idea what it is going on..
