炎上とは、インターネット上で批判的なコメントが殺到する現象のこと。

英語ではFlamingと表現されます。

例えば、Twitter上の炎上は、A flaming on Twitter
炎上がさらに激しくなるとFlame warと呼ばれることもあります。
炎上した場合は、下手に言い訳したり攻撃し返したりせず、炎上が自然に鎮火するのを待つことです。

しかし、炎上するようなコメントや記事をあえて投稿する人もいて、彼らをflamerと呼びます。
