特急あずさ(松本方面)の乗り場 Where to Catch the Limited Express Azusa (bound for Matsumoto)
特急あずさ(松本方面)は、主に東京（新宿や東京など）と長野県の松本駅の間を結ぶJR東日本の特急列車です。東京始発の便は夕方しかなく、ほとんどはJR新宿駅が始発です。
JR新宿駅構内の中央本線特急の9・10番線ホームから乗れます。
The Limited Express Azusa is a JR East limited express train that mainly connects Tokyo (including Shinjuku and Tokyo) with Matsumoto Station in Nagano Prefecture.
There are only a few Azusa trains that depart from Tokyo Station, and these are mainly in the evening. Most trains depart from JR Shinjuku Station.
At JR Shinjuku Station, you can board the Azusa bound for Matsumoto from Platforms 9 and 10, which are used for limited express trains on the Chuo Main Line.
松本方面が9・10番線ホーム、東京方面は7番線から発車します。

JR新宿駅構内の中央本線特急の9・10番線近くにはお弁当屋さんがいくつかあります。
There are also several bento shops near Platforms 9 and 10 inside JR Shinjuku Station, so you can buy a bento before boarding.
特急あずさ(松本方面)の予約方法 How to Reserve the Limited Express Azusa
えきねっとで「在来線チケットレス特急券」を予約・購入します。えきねっとで購入すれば特急券のチケットの発券は不要です。
この在来線チケットレス特急券で特急あずさに乗るには、別途「乗車券（Suica等の交通系ICカードまたは紙の乗車券）」の用意が必要です。
特急券では改札を通れないので注意。乗車時は改札機にSuica等をタッチして入ります。特急券のチケットはいりません。
車内で特急券の検札があった際はえきねっとのスマホの予約画面を提示すれば良いです。でも予約している席は席の上のランプが緑になっているので検札はされないです。
You can reserve and purchase a “Conventional Line Ticketless Limited Express Ticket” (在来線チケットレス特急券) through Eki-net.
If you purchase a ticketless limited express ticket through Eki-net, you do not need to pick up a physical limited express ticket at the station.
However, you need a separate basic fare ticket, such as a Suica or another IC transportation card, or a paper train ticket.
Please note that the limited express ticket alone cannot be used to pass through the ticket gates.
When entering the station, simply tap your Suica or other IC transportation card on the ticket gate. You do not need a physical limited express ticket.
If the conductor checks your limited express ticket on board, you can show the reservation screen in the Eki-net app or on your smartphone.
In practice, however, ticket checks may not be necessary if you are sitting in your reserved seat, because the indicator light above your seat will be green, showing that the seat is reserved.
