ルパート・ワイアット監督。これまでの猿の惑星の世界観を一新した全ての始まりを描くリブート作品。舞台は現代、アルツハイマー新治療薬を投与されたチンパンジーから生まれた子供、シーザーの知性の芽生えと残忍な人類への反抗の始まりを描く。
1. 『猿の惑星: 創世記』 (2011) Rise of the Planet of the Apes
ストーリー：舞台はサンフランシスコ。製薬会社のアルツハイマー治療薬開発の実験体の妊娠中のチンパンジーが、驚異的な知能の発達を見せた後に凶暴化し、射殺される。神経学者のウィルはそのチンパンジーの子を引き取り、シーザーと名付けて育てる。シーザーは高い知能を身につけながら成長していく。しかし幸せな時間は長くは続かなかった…
The story is set in San Francisco. A pregnant chimpanzee, an experimental subject for a pharmaceutical company's Alzheimer's drug development, goes berserk after showing amazing development of intelligence and is shot to death. Will, a neurologist, takes in the chimpanzee's child, names him Caesar, and raises him. Caesar grows up to become highly intelligent. But the happy time doesn't last long...

シリーズは3部作からなるが、前作で登場したキャラクターが次作でも生かされている。主人公のシーザーは心が優しく、頼れるリーダーであり、かっこいい。彼は、重要な選択でも憎しみに身を委ねず、ヒューマニズムに踏みとどまろうとする。シーザーのためにオラウータンやゴリラが命を張るシーンなど、仲間同士の絆にも胸が熱くなる。見てない方はおすすめ。
The series consists of a trilogy, but the characters introduced in the previous films are still utilized in the following films. The main character, Caesar, is kind-hearted, a dependable leader, and cool. He does not act on a feeling, even in important choices, and tries to stay on the humanist side. The bond between friends, such as the scene where the orangutan and gorilla risk their lives to protect Caesar, is also heartwarming. If you haven't seen it, I recommend it.
