海の日は、日本の祝日で7月の第3月曜日です。日本の島国が海と海洋に感謝の気持ちを表す日です。
通常は7月の第3月曜日に祝われますが、2020年は7月23日に変更されています。
これは2020年に東京の夏季オリンピックに対応するために、祝日を一部変更しました。いまや2021年7月23日から開催されるように設定されていますが、2020年の休日スケジュールの変更はそのまま残ります。
体育の日は10月から7月24日に変わり、開会式の日が予定されていました。

It's celebrated on the third Monday in July, but in 2020 has been changed on July 23rd because it is the day prior to the opening of Tokyo Olympics. （Marine Day is moved a week later to July 23, the day before the Olympics opening ceremony was scheduled.）

The games are now set to take place from July 23, 2021, but the changes to the holiday schedule in 2020 remain in place. Sports Day has been shifted from October to July 24, the day planned for the opening ceremony.
